Health Science Associates (HSA), a Certified Small Business Enterprise,  is a consulting, technical and training firm specializing in the environmental and occupational needs of our clients. Consulting and training services are provided by Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs), highly skilled and credentialed professionals, which include the areas of Industrial Hygiene and Safety Services, Indoor Air Quality, Mold, Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint Services and EH&S, AHERA and DHS Training Services, among others.

Since the 1980s HSA, has provided full asbestos and lead related services. These services include identification surveys, risk assessments, development of scope of remediation work, preparation of hazard control specifications, project management, project monitoring, clearance sampling and project final reports. We have substantial experience and qualifications in the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of health and safety stresses including chemical agents, physical energies, biological agents and ergonomics factors. We are experienced and competent in all types of occupational environments, including but not limited to plant facilities, laboratories, research facilities, field locations, construction sites, schools, residences, public buildings, et. al.

HSA routinely performs indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations, EMF/ELF surveys and evaluations, and microbiological sampling/project management, ventilation system evaluations for clients, including lab hoods, local exhaust systems and building HVAC systems.

HSA also is certified by Cal/OSHA as a training provider for all AHERA (asbestos) refresher courses and is certified by the Department of Health Services (DHS) as a training provider for lead worker, lead supervisor/project monitor, and all lead continuing education courses.

Health Science Associates resumes Spanish Training

Our DHS Lead-in-Construction Worker Initial Course in Spanish is now available and we are offering the DHS Lead-In-Construction Continuing Education for Spanish Worker classes. We now offer a Lead Awareness (Lead Safe Work Practices), Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Asbestos Awareness class in both English and Spanish. We hope to add both an AHERA (Asbestos) Initial Worker and AHERA Worker Refresher Training course in Spanish soon.

Our commitment is to insure that workers leave our training class with a clear understanding of protection and safe work practices and an appreciation for the application of "textbook" procedures in real-world situations."
