  • Manage the development, growth, and delivery of HSA's services. The company has grown on the basis of reputation and referral (with minimal marketing) and includes a Branch Operation in Northern California (Oakland).

Senior Consultant
  • Functions as project manager and is responsible for the technical quality of the projects she manages. Supervises the work of professional staff assigned to her projects.

  • Provides clientele with required services including performing preliminary Industrial Hygiene surveys to determine an Industrial Hygiene sampling strategy to meet Cal/OSHA or Fed/OSHA requirements and/or client criteria.

  • Industrial hygiene surveys and evaluations; air sampling for toxic substances; ventilation evaluation, monitoring and design; toxic material evaluation and control programs, data sheets; respirator and personal protective equipment programs; noise surveys and hearing conservation programs; protective programs; ELF/EMF evaluations, ergonomic hazard assessment & control; MSDS preparation and review; hazardous waste management; record keeping systems.

Performs asbestos and lead related work including: site inspection and bulk sampling; bulk sample report preparation; management plan preparation; program review; abatement specification preparation and/or review; designing abatement projects; providing project management and oversight of asbestos and lead abatement projects; and implementing the scope of work for the abatement project.

  • Developed industrial hygiene laboratory from a single person laboratory to a staff of 30 full-time chemists operating seven days per week/18 hours per day. Secured certifications and accreditations including full AIHA Laboratory Accreditation, State of California Drinking Water and Hazardous Waste Certification and National Institutes for Standards and Technology Accreditation in Bulk and Airborne Asbestos Analysis. Reported directly to the President/Principal of HSA, and managed and directed all activities of this full-service industrial hygiene, safety and environmental consulting firm in his absence. Business operations included offices in northern and southern California and a staff of over 60 persons.
